My wife and I recently decided to remodel our laundry room so that we could make space for a larger washer and dryer. First we had to clean out all of the additional junk that was in there. Then we took the old top loading washer and dryers out and stripped all of the partitions and flooring bare of everything else. After that we made the decision to replace the ground with new linoleum because the previous stuff was pretty beat up (torn and scuffed) and repair the partitions before installing the new front loaders, which ought to be more effective. To finish off our little laundry room remodel, we place in new area efficient storage along the walls and over the washer and dryer as well to maximize storage area. All of that wasted space is now effective storage for all the misc items that had been cluttering up the floor.
